ABOUT LISA GIAMBRA

Lisa tries to depict the world the way her eyes see it. Mostly dedicated to the human figure, she combines humans with nature and animals. Her work is mostly illustrative (such as narrative, advertising and location drawing), based on graphite pencil combined with watercolours, even though she also explores through acrylics and mixed medias on wood.

Lisa gathers much of her inspiration from personal experiences, the environment and cultures around the world.

Some of her works are created around personal experiences such as depression and anxiety that have made her change the vision of her world and her own body, where she tries to depict with images the mental and physical feelings a person can experience during mental health crises.

Italian born, Lisa is now based in the Canary Islands in Spain, after graduating with first Class Honours degree in BA Illustration at the University Of Wales Trinity Saint David in Swansea, Wales.
